Persuasive Writing through Adverts in Term 2 :)

In Term 2 we learnt about how to convince an audience to buy our product. We had to create a product, make a poster advertising it and then create an advert to sell our product to the market. We learnt about the following persuasive language features so we were able to make our product exciting and interesting for our buyers.
Persuasive Argument Language Features: 
Imperatives: must, should, need, definitely, absolutely, have to
Emotive words and phrases: The most important issue facing the world today is...,  I can’t stand people who are cruel to animals,  
Calls to action / Instructions: Go home today and tell your family to recycle, The next time you think about dropping your rubbish, you’d better think again.
Emphatic Devices: exclamation marks!, CAPITALISATION
Powerful vocabulary: intense, extremely, definitely, unbelievable, unacceptable, ridiculous, absolutely, incredible
Imagery: similes and metaphors, paint a picture for your reader / audience
Rhetorical Questions:  questions designed to make your reader think a particular way.  e.g. “How would you feel if someone called you a mean name?”
